Syria crisis: Will military strikes go ahead?

UK military involvement has been ruled out after MPs rejected a motion on the principle that action could be required to protect Syrian civilians.

As fresh pictures of attacks on civilians in Syria emerge, there are questions about what the US, and the wider international community, will do as a result.
