Afghanistan's first female aeroplane pilot

With British and other NATO combat troops due to leave Afghanistan by the end of next year, Afghanistan is boosting its own military forces, including building a new Air Force virtually from scratch.

In an unexpected breakthrough for women's rights, among the recruits is the first woman in the country to qualify as an aeroplane pilot.
