Egypt: Democracy needs to flourish, says David Cameron

David Cameron has said he will tell Egypt a democratic transition needs to take place after the country's democratically elected president, Mohammed Morsi, was ousted by the army.

Mr Morsi remains under house arrest, and Egypt's most senior judge has been sworn in to replace him as the country's new interim leader.

The Prime Minister said the UK never supported intervention by the military.
