Syria: Army commander blames militants for massacre

In January, the BBC found evidence to support reports of a massacre in the Syrian village of Haswiya.

A Syrian army commander told the BBC's Lyse Doucet that he believed it was the work of the al-Nusra Front - Islamist militants fighting alongside the rebels.

However, activists said it was the work of the pro-government militia, known as Shabiha.
