Jewish prayer division on show at Western Wall

Ten Jewish women were arrested on Monday by Israeli police for praying at Jerusalem's Western Wall - while wearing prayer shawls and traditional skullcaps. Orthodox rules, which govern prayers at the site, allow only men to dress this way.

Those detained were members of Women of the Wall, a group set against the orthodox rule that says only men can pray at the wall wearing traditional garments.

The arrests are the latest in an emotive conflict over rights and wrongs at Judaism's holiest site.

The BBC's Ros Atkins was joined by Anat Hoffman from the Women of the Wall organisation and two British rabbis: Jeremy Gordon, of the New London Synagogue, a modern Masorti community, and Doctor Moshe Freedman of Northwood United Synagogue, an orthodox community.
