How might US gun laws be reformed?
President Obama will reveal his plans to deal with gun violence on Wednesday - after receiving a list of recommendations from Vice-President Joe Biden.
December's school shooting in Newtown reignited the debate about US firearms laws, but moves to tighten regulations are likely to be opposed by the nation's powerful gun rights lobby.
Democratic Congressman Bobby Scott sat on the task force that helped the White House draw up the proposals to be announced by President Obama.
In an interview with the BBC's Katty Kay, he said that he believed recommendations on background checks and mental health provisions were likely to feature in the plans.
