Struggling Syrians face tough winter
The campaign group Avaaz has warned of the grave conditions facing Syrians as violence in the country continues.
Food shortages, electricity blackouts and fuel shortages are part of everyday life for Syrians, and there are fears that many may not survive the additional challenges of winter.
Avaaz's report comes as Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen accused Syrian government forces of continuing to fire short-range ballistic missiles at rebel fighters - a claim the Syrian foreign ministry has strongly denied.
Mike Wooldridge reports.
