Egypt unrest: Tanks on the streets of Cairo
Egypt's army has deployed tanks and armoured troop carriers outside the presidential palace in Cairo after clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohammed Morsi.
The streets of the capital are now reported to be calm following the earlier violence that left at least three people dead and hundreds injured.
The BBC's World Affairs Correspondent Nick Childs says the Egyptian military will be hoping the deployment will defuse tensions.
