Mursi: 'I can't control legislative power'

Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi has told a crowd of supporters that he "cannot control legislative power".

He made the comments after he passed a decree granting himself sweeping powers.

Rival rallies are being held nationwide, and offices of the president's Muslim Brotherhood party have reportedly been attacked in the cities of Port Said and Ismailia.
