Israel-Gaza conflict: Mutual suffering and plain talking
A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, in effect since Wednesday, appears to be holding.
Before the fighting stopped the BBC's Newshour programme recorded a conversation between Palestinian aid worker Bassam Nasser who has been living in Gaza his whole life and former Israeli government spokesman Uri Dromi.
Both men told of the impact of the conflict on their family lives.
