Gaza residents celebrate ceasefire with Israel


Thousands of Gaza residents poured onto the streets on Thursday night to celebrate the ceasefire with Israel, waving flags and setting off fireworks.

The UN Security Council has called on Israel and Hamas to uphold the agreement, brokered by Egypt.

The BBC's Jon Donnison in Gaza spoke to Martine Dennison about the night's celebrations and the difficulties in creating a lasting peace between the two sides.
