Airstrike target: Who was al-Jabari?
The head of the military wing of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, Ahmed Said Khalil al-Jabari, has been killed during a series of Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas has warned its response will "open the gates of hell".
BBC correspondent Jon Donnison in Gaza said Mr Al-Jabari was a significant target.
