Last month the US thriller "Homeland" won 'Best Drama' at the Emmy Awards.

Despite the programme's global success, few know that it was originally adapted from an Israeli TV series.

It is one in a string of Hebrew-language formats being bought and adapted by foreign broadcasters, a development TV executives in Israel are trying to capitalise on.
