Najib Mikati: Lebanon PM to resign after car bombing
Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati has tendered his resignation, following Friday's car bombing which killed the head of intelligence.
He has been asked to stay on by the President in the national interest.
The development followed an emergency cabinet meeting in Beirut. Many Lebanese have blamed Syria for the blast, and there have been violent anti-Syrian protests in several Lebanese cities.
