Annan: Syria response 'shameful'
The former UN and Arab League envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, has described the international community's failure to find a solution to the the conflict in Syria as "shameful".
His words came as his replacement, Lakhdar Brahimi, made his first visit to the war-torn country. Later he will be meeting both President Bashar al-Assad and the opposition groups.
