Palestinian male ballet dancer on overcoming prejudice

Ayman Safiah is the only classically-trained, male Palestinian ballet dancer.

The 21-year-old recently graduated from the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in Richmond, London.

Ayman said it had not been an easy road as he faced huge opposition from within his own community.

Speaking to BBC News he said he put his love of classical ballet down to the film Billy Elliot, which he felt almost mirrored his own experience.
