The BBC's Ian Pannell has travelled to the outskirts of Syria's second city of Aleppo with "hundreds, maybe a thousand" rebels, as the battle for control of the city intensifies.
He said that the rebels "feel that they have the initiative, but the truth is they are overwhelmed".
