Iraq: Wave of attacks across the country kills scores

Multiple attacks across Iraq have killed at least 80 people, with more than 200 wounded.

In one of the worst days of violence in Iraq since US forces withdrew, police checkpoints were hit by car bombs and army bases by mortar fire.

Al Qaeda's Iraq wing is reported to have claimed responsibility.
