Heavy clashes in key Syrian cities
There have been heavy clashes in several of Syria's main cities, as fighting between between government forces and rebels intensifies.
In Syria's second city of Aleppo, hundreds are said to be fleeing their homes.
There are also reports of more senior military officers leaving the country, following Wednesday's attack in Damascus that killed several members of President Assad's inner circle.
