Syrian defence minister killed in suicide attack says state TV
Syrian Defence Minister Daoud Rajiha has been killed and many officials have been injured in a suicide attack on the national security headquarters in Damascus, according to state TV.
The group of officials were meeting inside the building at the time of the blast and the area around the building, in Rawda district, has been sealed off.
