Syria conflict: Red Cross warns of civil war
Violence in Syria has become so widespread that the country is engaged in an internal armed conflict, in effect a civil war, the Red Cross (ICRC) has said.
Meanwhile, Syrian officials have disputed claims that they used heavy weapons in fighting in the village of Tremseh on Thursday, as Jim Muir reports.
