UN says Syrian sides 'lack willingness' for peace

The head of the UN team of observers in Syria says that escalating violence is limiting the mission's ability to operate.

Maj-Gen Robert Mood said both sides in the conflict were focused on military gains and there was a lack of will to seek a peaceful transition.

The Norwegian urged all parties to implement the UN-backed peace plan.
