Protests erupt in Egypt over Hosni Mubarak verdicts


Thousands of Egyptians have spent the night protesting in squares across the country, a day after former President Hosni Mubarak was jailed for life.

The 84-year-old was sentenced for his part in the killing of protesters during the 2011 revolution, but key security officials who were on trial alongside him were acquitted.
