Israel returns remains of 91 Palestinians

Help

Israel has handed over the remains of 91 Palestinians killed while they were carrying out attacks against Israelis.

The transfer is part of an agreement which ended a mass hunger strike by hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Israel says handing over the bodies is a confidence-building gesture, but there has been no indication from the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, that he would return to peace talks.

Jon Donnison reports.
