Bahrain stages F1 Grand Prix despite protests

The controversial Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix has taken place despite continuing anti-government protests.

Meanwhile, west of the capital, Manama, demonstrators set up barricades of burning tyres.

Speaking after the race, the BBC's Caroline Hawley said protesters in Bahrain wanted to bring international attention to their demands for democracy.
