Marie Colvin: Jeremy Bowen pays tribute


The BBC's Middle East editor reflects on the life of Marie Colvin who was killed during an attack in Homs in Syria.

Marie Colvin was a distinguished foreign correspondent for the Sunday Times. She was originally from New York State in the US but had been based in London for many years.

Jeremy Bowen said she was "devoted to reporting the news, to shining a light into the world's darkest corners".
