Syrian villages form separate militia groups in self defence

Despite the rising death toll in Syria, support for President Assad still remains in some areas.

But in many towns around Syria, people are also trying to organise themselves into an embryonic opposition and into armed militia groups.

The BBC's World Affairs Correspondent, Ian Pannell, sent this report from the north of the country.
