US: Syria civil war risk increasing after UN veto
The US ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, has once again attacked Russia and China's veto of a Security Council resolution condemning the ongoing violence in Syria.
Beijing and Moscow blocked the resolution on Saturday, despite months of bloodshed linked to protests against President Bashar al-Assad's regime.
Ms Rice said that Moscow had decided to "stand with a dictator" and warned that the prospect of a civil war in Syria was increasing.
