Syria unrest: Pro-Assad demonstrations held
Pro-government demonstrations in Syria have brought thousands of people onto the streets to protest against its suspension from the Arab League.
Jon Leyne, reporting from Cairo, said it was not clear how many of those at the rallies were there because they had been pressured to attend.
He said he had heard reports from Hama that four people had been shot dead after breaking away from a pro-Assad rally to begin a counter-protest.
