Iranian musicians Symorgh perform in Europe

Help

Iranian musicians who form the group Symorgh have performed an adaptation of Shahnameh, in the city of Herleen, in the Netherlands.

Shahnameh, The Persian Book of Kings, was written by the prominent Iranian poet Ferdowsi, a thousand years ago.

The young musicians were lead by the celebrated traditional Iranian singer Homayoun Shajarian.

This is the first time this piece has been performed outside Iran.

Karen Zarindast reports.
