Yemeni child behind a revolutionary portrait

Help

As Yemen's president Ali Abdullah Saleh remains in Saudi Arabia recovering from an assassination attempt in June, relief agencies have warned the country is close to a humanitarian disaster.

The economy has all but collapsed, forcing Yemenis into even greater hardship.

One Yemeni child has been able to keep learning and drawing by visiting the makeshift studio of a revolutionary artist who painted a portrait of her collecting empty bottles to help feed her family.

Lina Sinjab reports.
