Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq steps down
Egypt's military leaders have announced the resignation of the country's prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq.
Protesters saw Mr Shafiq as too closely associated to ousted president Hosni Mubarak's rule, observers say.
A former transport minister, Essam Sharaf is to replace the prime minister and help form a new government.
