Col Gaddafi 'brushed off the international pressure'

The EU has imposed sanctions including an arms embargo, asset freeze and travel ban on Libyan authorities, including leader Col Muammar Gaddafi.

The Libyan leader told the BBC that he was loved by all his people and denied there had been protests against him on the streets.

Jeremy Bowen was the only British television journalist to speak to Col Gaddafi.

He says the Libyan leader is "enjoying the position that he's in".
