Col Gaddafi's defiant address: 'I am a fighter'
Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has appeared on state television in Libya to denounce anti-government protesters who took to the streets and seized control of several cities.
He said he was ''a fighter'' and would ''die a martyr at the end''.
There was renewed violence in the capital, Tripoli, as the regime battled to reassert its authority.
