Many have argued over the origin of baklava, but what is certain is its popularity - the rich, sweet pastry is eaten across the Middle East, from Turkey and Afghanistan in the north to Oman and Yemen in the south.
It is made with only dough, honey and nuts, so what is the secret to its popularity?
