Venezuela: Shopper fingerprinting to stop smuggling

The president of Venezuela has announced a fingerprint scanning system for the country's supermarkets in an effort to combat food smuggling.

President Nicolas Maduro says it will stop food shortages, but opponents believe it constitutes a breach of privacy.
