Santos: Election victory 'mandate for peace' in Colombia

The newly re-elected Colombia president, Juan Manuel Santos, says he has been given a "mandate for peace" by voters.

Mr Santos campaigned for a second term on a promise to drive forward the peace talks he initiated with the country's largest rebel group, the Farc, in 2012.

He told the BBC that he is confident he can win over people sceptical about his plan.
