Colombia's garden snails farmed for consumers

Help

A Colombian company has started farming snails, after its owners' garden was invaded by the creatures.

The factory is now exporting the molluscs - little appreciated in Colombia - several countries in Europe and North America.

The farm, near Bogota, produces around 200,000 snails per month, which amounts four tons of the meat.

Natalia Pianzola reports.
