Bid to protect historic Rio building from Olympic plans

Help

A dispute is growing in Brazil about the government's plans to tear down a museum as it improves areas around the Maracana Stadium in Rio.

The demolition is one of several controversial changes planned ahead of the Olympic Games in 2016.

It could see the eviction of 20 indigenous families who have been squatting in the 150-year-old building.

Julia Carneiro reports.
