Many left homeless after fire in Sao Paulo shanty town
A fire has ripped through a Brazilian slum leaving more than 1,000 people homeless.
Residents in Sao Paulo battled flames as they reached 10m (33ft) high.
Firefighters said the blaze could have started in a rubbish dump.
Six people were injured and 285 dwellings were destroyed.
