Colombia ready for peace, says Americas think tank
Colombia's president Juan Manuel Santos has confirmed his government is seeking peace with the country's biggest guerrilla group, known as the Farc.
The left-wing group has been fighting the government for almost five decades, and said last year that it wanted to start peace negotiations.
Peter Hakim from Inter-American Dialogue, a US-based think tank examining relations in the Americas, assessed the chances of any talks.
