The new wave of Colombian wrestlers and fans

Help

'Lucha libre' or free wrestling is not a new activity in Colombia, but recently wrestlers and fans have become the centre of the attention in the capital, Bogota.

A new soap opera called 'Pobres Rico' (Poor Rich) has revived the interest in an activity which had its golden age in the South American country between 1960s and 1990s.

Although the events are not as massive as in the past, new fights are bringing new enthusiastic followers into the ring.

BBC Mundo's Arturo Wallace reports.
