Success in conjoined twin surgery in Chile

Help

Chilean doctors say they had been successful after a 20 hour long operation to separate 10-month-old conjoined twins.

The separation of the twins, who were attached by the chest and pelvis, took place at Santiago's Luis Calvo Mackenna Hospital.

It has been hailed as the most complex procedure ever carried out in the South American nation.

Liliet Heredero reports.
