Ninth rescued miner, Mario Gomez, emerges from Chile rescue shaft

Help

Mario Gomez, 63 and the oldest man in the mine, has been rescued and brought to the surface.

He gave a thumbs up as he emerged from the rescue capsule and later fell to his knees in prayer.

Despite concerns about his health, rescuers and the miner appeared relaxed as he hugged his wife Liliana Ramirez.
