The Jersey Live music festival has sold out for the first time despite a Saturday marred by rain and cloud.

Local performer Frankie Davies opened the main stage in the afternoon and described the experience as "amazing".

The two-day event, in its 11th year, will see performances from headliners Ellie Goulding and Ben Howard.

Organiser Warren Holt said there was something for everyone at the event, including a new children's area featuring Mr Bloom of CBeebies fame.

'Huge stage'

Davies, who has been touring the south west of England, told BBC Radio Jersey: "It was an amazing experience, I really enjoyed it.

"I was so far away from my band though. The stage is huge."

Dozens of acts are set to perform across five stages, covering dance music, country, rock, pop and live comedy.

Former X-Factor winners Diversity will perform on the main stage and will be meeting people in the PAR-4 field on Sunday afternoon.

The Jersey Live festival is held at the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity
