Two burnt in Jersey Post chemical leak

Two members of staff at Jersey Post were taken to hospital with minor burns after a package leaked chemicals.

The building in St Helier was evacuated at about 08:20 BST following the discovery of the chemical, which has yet to be identified.

The members of staff were checked over at the Jersey General Hospital but have since returned to work.

Andy Jehan, from Jersey Post, said staff were allowed back in the building at about 09:00.

He said there was likely to be delays to deliveries due to the disruption.
