Ex-Jersey politician Graeme Butcher denies misconduct

A former Jersey politician has denied misconduct in a public office.

Graeme Butcher had served in the post of Constable of St John between 2006 and 2011.

At in Jersey's Royal Court earlier he pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of misconduct in a public office.

Mr Butcher is accused of a string of offences relating to the use of parish money for his own ends. His case will be heard by the Royal Court during a five day trial in June.
