The cost of travelling by bus in Jersey is to go up for the first time in two years, the bus operator confirmed.
LibertyBus said the price would go up by 10p per journey for cash users but would stay the same for people using a pre-paid pass.
A single adult cash ticket will cost £1.30 for zone a or £1.80 for zone b journeys. Children's tickets will be 80p per journey.
The company said the cost of student tickets would stay the same.
Kevin Hart, General Manager at LibertyBus, said: "Ticket prices have not increased for over two years in Jersey, however inflation has continued to rise, and this has meant the costs of putting on the service has risen too."
Transport Minister, Deputy Kevin Lewis, who oversees the running of the service, praised LibertyBus for the improvements it had made to the service since taking over in January 2013.
He said he hoped more bus users would start using the unlimited travel passes which have seen a price cut.
An unlimited AvanchiCard will now cost £49 per month, down from £52.
