Channel Islands ferries disrupted by 'adverse weather'

High speed ferry services between the Channel Islands and England have been disrupted due to a forecast of "adverse weather", the operator has said.

Winds of up to 60mph (95km/h) are predicted for Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Condor Ferries said sailings on Saturday from Weymouth and Poole to the islands had been consolidated into a Poole to Guernsey service at 06:00 GMT.

The company has offered all passengers alternative sailing options.

A spokesman said passengers travelling on to Jersey would be "accommodated on an additional leg" of the regular Channel Islands to St Malo route.
