Jersey court jails man for 'brutal assault'

A Jersey man has been jailed for six years after being found guilty of grave and criminal assault.

Philip Baglin, 45, denied the carrying out what the prosecution described as a "brutal assault".

Kenneth Siouville was attacked by Baglin in his own home during February last year and left with a broken jaw, elbow and ribs.

Baglin was unanimously convicted of the charges after a four-day trial in Jersey's Royal Court.
